Amenities and Activities
The Calabogie area offers a number of outdoor activities for nature lovers. The areas pristine lake and surrounding landscape offers a magnificent natural playground only a 1 hour drive from Ottawa
We suggest using the Barnett Park boat launch when you are ready to place your boat in the water. It is directly across the bay from the Resort. There are designated boat slips available. Please call ahead to reserve your spot. Limited slips available. One per unit. Trailer parking is available at a designated area; inquire at the Reception Desk.
Enjoy a rousing game of tennis on our private tennis court. (Plans to upgrade the tennis court is slated for Spring 2017 and will include Pickle Ball!)
Calabogie Highlands a 18-hole golf course and Calabogie Peaks 9- hole, are minutes from the resort. Other courses are in a radius of a 45-minute drive.
Two family ski hills are located within a radius of 4km to 50km. Calabogie Peaks is the closest to the resort and offers downhill and cross country skiing. Pakenham Ski Resort is 50 km from Calabogie and offers skiing and night skiing. Cross country skiing trails can be accessed from the Lodge.
Hiking and Rock Climbing
The area has a very large hiking trails network with varying levels of difficulty from short novice trails to more demanding longer trails. Information on the various trails is available at the Lodge. For those who enjoy rock-climbing, the challenging Eagle’s Nest cliff is a short drive from the Lodge. More information on trail maps can be obtained at our front desk.
Bonnechere Caves: Guided Tours through the Caves
Driving enthusiast have the opportunity to experience North America’s premier driving experience at Calabogie Motorsports Park.

Whitewater Rafting and Water Parks
For the thrill seekers, there are three major white water rafting operations (30-45 minute drive), offering exciting trips down the Ottawa or Madawaska Rivers.
Additional Ottawa Valley Activities
On site activities are offered during the summer and other holiday time frames. Recreation staff offer a variety of activities off/on site. As Calabogie Lodge provides easy access to many activities on\off site, we offer some children’s activities during summer months. During the week we may offer, treasure hunts, water volleyball, water races, fishing derby, t-shirt painting or tye-dying, ice cream sundaes as through the day. Other time frames we may off magic and reptile shows. We require sign up for activities.
If you enjoy skating, biking, snowshoeing or skiing, be sure to bring your equipment as there may only be limited availability.
